Planting for the Future * Free Event *

HELP US PLANT SEVEN NEW TREES AT PRIORY PARK, WARWICK
Join us for a day of free, family friendly, drop-in activities that have been created to support the planting of seven new trees at Priory Park.
Bring along a spade, shovel, and fork to help, or to provide moral support from the sidelines. A self-led history and nature trail will also be available on the day.
Visitors can collect a map and instructions from the tree planting site from 10am until 3pm.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where is the activity taking place in the park? Head to the top of the park just behind the new Medical Centre. You will see a small marquee and a group of people wearing hi-vis jackets.
How much does it cost? All on-the-day activities are FREE.
Do I have to stay the whole day? No. It’s a drop-in activity, so you can stay for as long or as little as you like.
What do I need to bring? Please bring suitable footwear and clothing for digging holes if you are happy to lend a hand. We will have a limited number of tools, big and small, available on site to borrow, so please bring a spade, shovel or fork if you have one.
How will you allocate a tree to my school / my child’s school? On arrival, simply tell us which school your pupil / child attends and we will encourage them to plant a specific tree. We will keep a record of which tree was planted by which pupils and update you on its location after the event.
I’d like to come along but don’t fancy getting muddy and sweaty! We know the feeling! We welcome spectators and moral support, so please come say hi! You can take part in the nature and history trail and find out more about the Park from members of FOPP.
Will it still take place if the weather is bad? We’re not afraid of a bit of rain, but we may have to postpone the activity if the weather is unsuitable for digging. Please visit the FOPP’s Facebook page or website in advance of your visit for updates.
